Annual Casco Bay Striper Tournament: Photos

I wanted to thank everyone for their participation in the 18th Annual Casco Bay Striper Tournament. Because of your involvement the tournament was a big success. We had over 85 anglers and 10 children entered this year. This competitive, popular event has a significant and loyal following of local and regional fishing enthusiasts and has turned into the largest Striper tournament in the State!

The Captain's Reception, held on September 11th at the Royal River Grill House in Yarmouth, raised money for the Department of Marine Resources (DMR) for the research and management of striped bass. The reception had over 55 attendees which participated in a silent auction and raffle. The Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) ran both the silent auction and raffle which also raised money for CCA. It was a great night and it was good see old and new friends.

In addition, portions of the proceeds were donated to the Yarmouth Rotary which consists of more than 25 local business leaders committed to the ideals of Rotary, Service Above Self. Proceeds from the tournament will continue to benefit a broad range of humanitarian, cultural, and educational programs designed to improve the lives of neighbors in our own community and neighbors in communities around the world. I look forward to making next years tournament bigger and better!
